By creating an account or using Handshake Center you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

Your account

You are responsible for your login credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep your contact details up to date.

Marketplace and deals

Handshake Center helps neighbors discover items, services, and events. We are not a party to deals between users unless we say otherwise. Users are responsible for complying with local laws on sales, taxes, permits, and prohibited goods.

Safety and map content

The public map is a low-data community awareness tool for weather, flooding, road conditions, fire, and similar public hazards, plus official desk advisories when published by verified barangay or HOA accounts. Public posts are unverified neighbor reports — not investigation, evidence, law enforcement records, or personal profiling.

Do not upload photos, videos, IDs, documents, medical information, names, phone numbers, or accusations of crime on public awareness posts. False or abusive reports may lead to removal and suspension. In an emergency, call local emergency services first. Barangay and HOA offices are not responsible for third-party neighbor pins unless they publish an official advisory through their verified desk.

Paid features

Some features require payment. Fees, currencies, and payment methods depend on your country. Paid periods are shown before you confirm. Refunds are handled according to applicable law and our posted policies.

Prohibited conduct

• Fraud, scams, stolen goods, or misrepresentation.
• Harassment, hate speech, or threats.
• Fake official or emergency accounts.
• Attempts to bypass security or scrape the service abusively.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk to the community. You may request account deletion from My Account.

Disclaimer

The service is provided as is. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or the conduct of other users. Use your own judgment in offline meetings and transactions.
